The seventh annual IBEW Local 894 Family Fun Day will be held at NEBs Funworld on Sunday, February 19th, 2012.
Each registered child will receive a packet
of tokens and tickets to be used in the arcade and on the various rides and attractions. There will be unlimited
bowling from 10:00 a.m. until noon, then pizza and pop will be served.

Local 894's Children's Christmas Party was held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at the Bowmanville High School.

or a non-perishable for Local 894's holiday drive.
Once again this year, the Retirees Club of IBEW Local 353 Toronto hosted the Retirees of Local 894
at their Annual Retiree Dinner/Dance. The event was held on Sunday, December 4th, 2011, at Spirale Banquet Centre
in North York. Our retirees reported that it was a very enjoyable day.
Local 894's 2011 Family Picnic, our 7th annual, was held at
Cedar Park, in north Bowmanville on
Sunday, August 7th.
The park opened at 10:00 a.m. and we were able to squeeze in a lot of fun before the rain hit at around 3:30.
Many enjoyed the water slides, pools, water park and mini golf, while others preferred to sit and socialize.

The 6th Annual Dan Kearnes Memorial Fishing Derby was hosted by Brad Stewart at his home in Lakefield
on Saturday, August 13th, 2011.

The 2011 Local 894 Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, June 18th, at Wolf Run in Janetville.
The day couldn’t have been better. Great weather, great course, great food and great brothers and sisters.
Our members and guests raised $1450.00 for Golfer’s Green. Golfer’s Green raises money for the Childhood Cancer
Canada Foundation.

Local 894's Entertainment Committee held a Family Swimming Party on Sunday, January 30th, 2011, at
the Newcastle Recreation Complex on Rudell Road in Newcastle. A good number of members came out with their families
to enjoy swimming from 4-6 p.m. Pizza and
refreshments were served from 5-7 p.m.
