Local 894 Children’s Christmas Party – December 4th, 2010

Please see flyer enclosed

Ladies Night

Approximately 100 members and guests attended and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The ladies auxiliary at the Polish Veterans Hall served an excellent dinner with first class service as they always do. Our decorator, House of Golden Aire, also provided a magnificent decor that put the final, professional touch to a great evening. We send our sincere thanks to the Electrical Contractors Association of Oshawa for their generous donation of ten $100.00 bills and also to the individual contractors for the gifts they provided for door prizes. No date has been set for next year at this time.

Christmas Food Drive

Non- perishable food items and or cash donations to assist the less fortunate will be accepted at Local 894 offices as we do each year. Cash that is donated is used only to purchase more food items. Vice President Raye West has been coordinating the Local 894 Food Drive for several years and distributes the food to several organizations that sincerely appreciate our help at this time of the year. Local 894 members have responded generously over the past few years and if possible we hope to better last year’s success.
